• Confirm with the CLOCK button to save the settings and exit the setting mode.
If your local time differs from the radio-controlled time, you can set the time
difference (-23 to +23 hours). This time difference will be considered when
displaying the clock time.
d) Setting the alarm time
• Press and hold the ALARM button (11) for 2 seconds during normal display mode until the
hour indicator starts flashing.
• Use the up/down button (10) to set the hours. Push and hold to fast-forward.
• Press the ALARM button. The minute indicator starts flashing.
• Use the up/down button to adjust the minutes.
• Press the ALARM button to save the settings and to exit the setting mode.
• Briefly press the ALARM button during normal display mode to show the set alarm time
for 5 seconds.
e) Activating the alarm / snooze function
• Set the alarm time as described above.
• Set the ALARM slide switch (9) to ON position to activate the alarm. The bell icon appears
in the digital display (13).
• When the alarm sounds, you can turn off the alarm using one of the two following methods:
- The alarm turns off automatically after one minute and sounds again the next day at
the same time.
- Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (1) to activate the snooze function. The alarm will
sound again after 5 minutes.
• In order to deactivate the alarm, set the ALARM slide switch to OFF position.
The snooze function can be repeated as many times as you want. During snooze
function the bell icon will be flashing.
f) Countdown function
• Press the TIMER button (2) during normal display mode. The TIMER indicator appears in
the digital display (13).
• Use the up/down button (10) to set the desired timer period. Push and hold to fast-forward.
• Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (1) to start the countdown.
• During countdown, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button to stop the countdown.
• When the countdown has stopped, press and hold the TIMER button in order to select a
countdown setting of 1:00 minute. Alternatively, briefly press the TIMER button to return
to normal mode.
The maximum available countdown setting is 12 hours.
The minimum available countdown setting is 1 minute.
During countdown, the colon flashes until the countdown stops.
When the countdown reaches the last minute, the countdown time will be
displayed in seconds.
• When the countdown has elapsed, a signal sounds for a maximum of 1 minute. Press the
SNOOZE/LIGHT button in order to turn off the signal earlier.
• After the signal has been turned off, the display will show the preset countdown time.
g) Backlight
Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button (1) during normal display mode to activate the backlight
for 5 seconds.
h) Nightlight function
• Set the nightlight slide switch (4) to ON position in order to activate the nightlight function.
• The built-in sensor measures the ambient brightness and, if dark, automatically turns on
the nightlight. The nightlight is darker than the backlight.
• In order to deactivate the nightlight function, set the nightlight slide switch to OFF position.
i) 12/24 hour display
When the 12-hour format has been selected, the clock time will be displayed with either AM
indicator (midnight till 11:59 o'clock) or PM indicator (12:00 o'clock noon till 23:59).
j) Thermometer
Press the ºC/ºF button (5) in order to switch between the temperature units ºC (Celsius) and
ºF (Fahrenheit).
k) Reset
Press the RESET button (7) using a pointed object to restore the factory settings.
l) Testing the signal
Press and hold the DEMO button (12) to test the signal.
m) Daylight saving time
The time will be adjusted automatically during summer. During summer, the DST icon
appears in the display.

Maintenance and cleaning

• The product is maintenance-free except for potential battery replacement and occasional
cleaning.
• Do not use any abrasive or chemical cleaners.
• Never submerge the product in water to clean it.
• To prevent scratch marks, do not apply too much force on the surface during cleaning.
• Use a dry, clean, soft and lint-free cloth to clean the housing. To remove tougher stains,
slightly dampen the cloth with lukewarm water. You may use a little soap or a mild
cleaning agent.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant
statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately
from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries/
rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy
metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on
(rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever (rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
