Battery information
• Batteries should be kept out of the reach of children.
• Do not leave batteries lying around in the open; there is a risk they may be swal-
lowed by children or pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
• Leaking or damaged batteries can cause burns if they come into contact with the
skin. You should therefore wear suitable protective gloves.
• Batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown into a fire. There is a danger
of explosion!
• Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; danger of explosion! Only re-
charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable
battery charger.
• Please pay attention to the correct polarity (plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the
batteries.
Changing the batteries
• If the display does not show anything, the respective battery has to be replaced.
• The watch uses two different types of batteries for the analogue and digital display.
The button cell type SR626SW is used to power the analogue display, and the button
cell type CR2025 is used to power the digital display. It goes without saying that only
the button cell of the display that is not working has to be replaced.
• Replacing the battery should be done by a specialist, using special clockmaker tools
and professional knowledge.
• To replace the battery, remove the bottom of the casing.
• Then take it out of the holder and replace with the appropriate battery.
Water and shock resistance
The wristwatch is protected against impacts that can occur with normal everyday use.
Nevertheless, do not expose it to extreme shocks such as might occur if it falls onto a
hard surface. This could damage the clock mechanism.
The labelling 10 BAR means that the watch is suitable for bathing, swimming, car
wash, showering and so on.
This is not a diver's watch. Do not use the buttons nor the crown (4) under water.
Maintenance and cleaning
A dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient to clean the watch. For heavier soiling of the
exterior, you can moisten the cloth slightly with lukewarm water.
Clean the watch very carefully; otherwise you may scratch it.
Do not press too heavily on the glass cover, as this can lead to breakage
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste materials and must not be disposed
of in the household waste!
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
Remove the batteries that may be inserted and dispose of them separately
from the product.
b) Batteries and rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are required by law (Battery Regulation) to return used batteries.
Do not dispose of used batteries in the household waste!
Batteries/rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are la-
belled with the symbol shown to indicate that disposal in household waste
is forbidden. The symbols of the critical heavy metals are: Cd=cadmium,
Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (marking can be seen on the battery / rechargeable
battery, e.g., underneath the refuse bin symbol shown on the left).
You can return your used batteries/rechargeable batteries free of charge at the official
collection points of your community, in our stores, or at places where batteries or
rechargeable batteries are sold!
You thereby fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
