2 Operation

The operating and maintenance personnel re­
sponsible for the machine must ensure that no
one can enter the machine's danger zone during
operation or maintenance work!
Risk of injury if safety equipment has been re­
moved or is non‐functional! The safety equip­
ment must be checked for completeness and
function before starting up!
The safety equipment must be in place during
operation!
When working on the machine (set‐up, mainte­
nance, service, repair, cleaning, etc.) ...
BAS 1500E:
... the power supply of the machine must be dis­
connected from the mains
(Disconnect power plug [16])!
BAS 1500V:
... the drive motor must be switched off and at
standstill

When petrol or oil is being refilled, the jogging
motor has to be off and at standstill

BAS 1500E:
High‐voltage electrical current can be fatal! Only
connect the machine to power supplies
equipped with a residual‐current device!.
The power socket serving as the electric supply
should be installed and provided with mains cur­
rent according to local regulations!
All installed plugs and couplings have to be pro­
tected from splash water!
Only suitably knowledgeable, qualified profes­
sional electricians may perform work on any
electrical parts of the system.
BAS 1500V:
Risk of injury / Risk of damage
due to highly‐inflammable, toxic fuel.
Petrol and motor oil are environmentally haz­
ardous and must not get into ground water!
BAS 1500V:
Risk of fire!
Open fire and smoking at the workplace is not
permitted!
BAS 1500V:
Risk of poisoning due to harmful substances at
the workplace!
Eating, drinking or smoking at the workplace is
prohibited! Always eat in break rooms or can­
teen areas!
After completing the work, thoroughly clean
yourself!
2 Operation
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 1.5!
Always wear hearing protection when the ma­
chine is in operation!
Wear protective footwear!
BAS 1500E:
High‐voltage electrical current can be fatal! Do
not run over, crush, or pull on the power line!
The operating range is limited by the length of
the power line. Stop the machine in time!
BAS 1500V:
Danger of injury due to high voltage!
Do not touch ignition cable spark plug cover!
