3 Operating
1.
Pull the power plug [9, Fig. A] from the
socket.
2.
Check the surface to be ground and remove any
protruding objects.
3.
Check tools for function and condition and
replace if necessary
(! Chapter 4.2 - page 20).
4.
Either (dry grinding):
a.
Attach the suction and splash guard ring
(! Chapter 4.4 - page 22).
b.
Connect a dust extractor to the suction
hose [24, Fig. J] on the ports for dust
extraction [21, Fig. K].
or (wet grinding):
a.
Attach the tank [16, Fig. F]
(! Chapter 4.3 - page 21).
b.
Check the water level in the tank and refill
if necessary.
5.
Hold the guide bar [2, Fig. A].

Pull the release lever [11, Fig. B].

(F 701L / STR

Step on the unclamping pedal [13, Fig. D].
The guide bar is unlocked.

Set the guide bar to the desired position.
Operation is performed with the handle at waist
height [Fig. T].
The vertical position is intended for tool
changes, maintenance and transport. The
machine can then be tilted backward [Fig. P].

Release the release lever.

Step on the clamping pedal [14 Fig. D].
The guide handle is locked.

Place the tool on the surface to be treated.

10. Check the suction and splash guard ring
[22, Fig. H/J/K] for correct position and function
and adjust if necessary.
11. Check the safety equipment for
completeness and function before starting
up!
The electric outlet serving as the power
supply should be supported and installed
according to local regulations.
Risk of injury from inadvertent starting of
the machine!
Before plugging in the power plug, make
sure the machine is switched off.

12. Plug the power plug [9, Fig. A] of the connecting
cable (extension cable) in a proper power
socket.
The machine is ready for operation.

3.2 Operation

Risk of damage and injury from uncontrolled
movement of the machine!
Before pressing the safety switches, the
machine has to be held firmly by the handle
of the guide bar!
High-voltage electrical current can be fatal!
Do not allow the power line to be run over,
crushed or pulled on!
Risk of damage due to tensile strain exerted
by the power line!

Do not press the safety switch [10, Fig. C]!
Hold the machine at the guide bar [2, Fig. A].
The surface to be ground can now be machined.

If necessary, adjust the speed to the
grinding conditions:

= Smoothing / grouting

= Cleaning / grinding
The machine cannot be switched on with the
guide bar upright [2, Fig. A].

Press and hold both safety switches [10, Fig. C].
The safety switches must not be prevented
from functioning!You must switch the machine
off when releasing!
4.
The drive is switched on.
Pull the release lever [11, Fig. B].
5.
For wet grinding, press the watering
lever [12, Fig. B] in accordance with the required
water quantity (based on experience).
