Operating the jug blender

1. Place the motor unit on a fi rm, level surface,
ensuring that is fi rmly seated.
WARNING
Risk of injury due to sharp blades.
– Always hold the blade unit from
below by its base. Do not touch the
blades.
2. Fit the blade unit up into the blender jug. Turn the
blade unit anti-clockwise to lock.
Ü The blade unit is now safely installed in the jug.
3. Put the jug onto the motor unit. Turn the jug
clockwise until it locks into place. Ensure that the
arrow on the jug is aligned with the 'closed lock'
symbol.
CAUTION
Do not process dry items such as coffee
beans, legumes or grain.
4. Prepare the ingredients that you want to purée.
5. Put the solid ingredients into the jug fi rst, and then
add some liquid. Ensure that you do not overfi ll the
jug. The maximum capacity is 1.5 L.
6. Fit the measuring cup into the lid.
7. Put the lid (with the measuring cup fi tted) onto the
blender jug.

8. Turn the rotary control to its ON position.
9. Select the desired programme (see chapter 4 -
Operating controls and programmes on page 24),
or turn the speed control clockwise to the desired
speed setting.
10. Turn the rotary control to its OFF position.
11. Remove the plug from the socket.
12. Clean the appliance immediately after use (see
chapter 5 - Cleaning the blender on page 25).
