3. AIR FILTER

maintaining an air cleaner in proper condition is
very important. Dirt induced through improperly
installed, improperly serviced, or inadequate elements
damages and wears out engines. Keep the element
always clean.
1. Remove the cover.
2. Remove the air filter cover and element.
3. Wash the element in solvent and dry.
4. Air filter cover and cover can be cleaned with a
lint-free cloth.
5. oil the element and squeeze out excess oil. the
element should be wet but not dripping.
6. Insert the element into the air filter.
7. Install the cover

ATTENTION!
• the engine should never run without the
element; excessive piston and/or cylinder wear
may result.
4. CLEANING AND ADJUSTING SPARK PLUG
1. Remove the cover.
2. check for discoloration and remove the carbon.
3. check the discolouration. the ignition plug should
be bright to dark brown.
4. check the electrode gap with a gage. It should be
0.6 – 0.7mm. If the plug is sooty / black, it indicates
too rich mixture (short time operation, too long
choke operation). clean the plug with a plug brush.
ATTENTION!
• the engine should never be operated without
air filter, it could lead to damages of the
engine.
