vosfeatureahigherangularresolutionandtheirpositionisadjustedmore
quickly and more accurately. Digital servos can often be reprogrammed,
whichallowstoadaptthespeed,theoverloadprotectionandsimilartothe
specificapplication,dependingontheservoversion.However,theauxil-
iaryenergyrequiredbydigitalservosaswellastheirpricearehigherthan
thoseofanalogservos.
Structure
Aservoiscomposedofadriveunitandatriggeringunitsuchasforinstance
anelectricmotorwithelectroniccontrolsystem.Themotormustbeable
torotateinbothdirections,andthesystemmustbeabletodeterminethe
rotatingpositionofthemotoratanymoment.Theelectricconnectionofa
servoiscarriedoutusingthreewires.Twofortheoperatingvoltage("plus"
and"minus")andoneforthepulse("Desiredvalue").
