OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION
Prior to using a new unit, wipe the surface with a wet cloth and wash the crumb tray in warm water for hygienic
reasons. Do not insert any bread into the unit, set the longest toasting time (toasting time selector at position 5), and
turn on the unit (see the Toasting section). Repeat this process fi ve times. The unit may emit a slight smell and smoke,
which should disappear after a while. Air the room well during this process.
Toasting bread
1. Uncoil the supply cable.
2. Connect the power cord plug to the wall outlet.
3. Insert two slices of white or other bread to be toasted into the slots (3).
4. Set the required toasting time using selector (8). Positions 1 – 5 corresponding
to the required toasting level (1 = lightest, 5 = darkest). The toasting time
should be set according to the user's personal taste and the type and
freshness of the bread used. If you are using the unit for the fi rst time, we
recommend selecting position 3 or 4 (Fig. 1).
5. Lower the bread into the toasting slots by pressing the lever (7) downwards
until it clicks and remains in this position. The unit turns on. The operation
indicator located in the stop button goes on (5).
Note: If the unit is not connected to the mains, the lowering lever will not
remain in the lowered position.
6. You may select any additional toasting function as needed (the appropriate
button will be illuminated).
Defrost function – This function is designed for toasting frozen bread. It
extends the toasting time by the time needed for defrosting bread.
Reheat function – If fi nished toast cools, you may reheat it for 25 seconds
using this function.
7. Finished toast is ejected automatically after the selected toasting time
