Never use solvent-based
detergents since these may
bleach the material and
damage the fabric. Also, do
not use any alkali or acidic
detergents or steam blast-
ers to clean the parasol.
To clean the parasol frame,
wipe it with a mild soapy so-
lution. It is not recommend-
ed to clean plastic or metal
products with a strong
cleaner or an abrasive ma-
terial since it may discolour
or damage the surface.
Repair: The parasol frame
is painted with a powder
coating of plastic paint. If
for some reason the coat-
ing comes off, the parasol
frame is not protected and
this may result in rust. To re-
pair the damage, wipe clean
and repaint to restore the
protection.
STORAGE
We recommend that you
close the parasol when not
in use and put a waterproof
cover on it. Before putting
the cover on, please make
sure that your parasol is
completely dry and clean.
During the off-season, store
the covered parasol in a
cool and dry place indoors.
DISPOSAL
If you wish to dispose of the
parasol, do not throw it in
the trash. Take it to a recy-
cling centre. There, recy-
clable materials and other
materials can be disposed
of safely. Ask your local IKEA
store or your local authority
where a recycling location is
in your area. Dispose of the
packaging materials in the
provided collection contain-
ers.
