Steering Wheel

The steering wheel is stored underneath the hood for
shipping.
If you need assistance with assembly of the unit,

in the Customer Contact Guide (if provided) or the
Operator's Manual.

understood, and obeyed when starting up, operating,
servicing, transporting, or storing the unit.

Charge Battery

WARNING
Always wear safety glasses when working around
batteries.
Hazard - Batteries produce explosive gases.
• Always leave vent caps in place to avoid explosions.
• Keep all sparks, flames, and cigarettes away from
batteries at all times.
• Never attempt to charge a frozen battery. Allow it to
warm to 60° F (15.5°C) before charging.
Corrosive Liquid Hazard - Batteries contain sulfuric
acid.
• Never lean over the battery when performing
maintenance.
Lead Hazard - The battery posts, terminal and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds. Wash
hands after handling.
NOTICE:
Voltage Spikes can damage the electronics. To avoid
such damage please follow these instructions carefully.
Never use a battery charger to directly start the engine.
Use only a fully charged battery properly installed.
Never charge the battery with the NEGATIVE (-) black
cable attached to the battery terminal. Keep the loose
black cable away from the battery.
Make sure the ignition is OFF and the key or the

starter insert is removed.
Charge the battery according to the instructions

provided by the charger manufacturer.
After charging attach the positive (+) cable (red)
3
fi rst.
Cover the (+) terminal with the boot (red).

Attach the negative (-) cable (black).

Wash your hands after handling.

Install Tires

The tires may be over-infl ated for shipment.
WARNING
Over-infl ating tires may cause them to explode
which could result in serious injury.
DO NOT infl ate the tires above the maximum pressure
(stamped on the sidewall of the tires).
Check and adjust the tire pressure.

Remove and organize the loose hardware. Two

options shown.
Apply grease to the spindle.

Assemble the parts as shown.

Apply anti-seize lubricant to the axle.

Assemble the parts as shown.

Rotate the tire three times to distribute the anti-seize.

Assemble the parts as shown.

Apply grease as shown.

Install the Seat

Install the bolts and tighten to 20 lb-ft (27 Nm).

Install the seat switch / harness into the seat.

Install Steering Wheel

Straighten the front tires forward.

Orient the steering wheel center spoke towards the

seat.
Hand start the nut then tighten to 30 lb-ft (40 Nm).

Press on the cover.

Remove Tractor from Crate

Release the parking brake.

Pull out the roll release lever.

With the help of another person, carefully guide the

unit off the back of the crate.
Push in the roll release lever.

Check Oil

Place the unit on a fl at, level surface.

Keep the oil level in the operating range.
