The Hardware Configuration Switch
The hardware configuration switch (SW1) has six segments. In the factory
default configuration all six segments are set to the "closed" position, as
shown in the figure on the previous page. (That is, all six levers are in the
"straight-up" position.) For most applications, you should leave all six segments
in the default position. However, in multiple-coprocessor installations, each
measurement coprocessor must have a separate address. If you need to
change the address of the measurement coprocessor, or if you want it to be
"non-system controller" on the HP-IB, you will need to change the settings as
described below.
Note
If the measurement coprocessor is already installed in your
computer, you need not remove it to change the switch settings.

is accessible from the top.) Just turn off your computer,
remove the cover, and change the settings as required.
Segments 1 and 2: Primary Address
You can select one of four primary addresses by setting segments 1 and 2 of
SWl.
(The default address is 250 hexadecimal.)
