About This Manual
This manual covers the installation of the HP 82324 High- Performance
Measurement Coprocessor, the HP 82325 and HP 82326 Memory Boards, and
the HP 82327 Floating-Point Unit (FPU). Please follow the procedures in this
manual, especially those given in "Handling Circuit Boards and ICs Safely,"
to obtain optimum performance and to avoid damage to your measurement
coprocessor and memory boards.
Save this manual. You may need this manual again if you add memory or an
FPU to the measurement coprocessor, or change its configuration.
Potential for Radio and Television Interference
This equipment generates and uses radio frequency energy and, if not installed
and used in accordance with this manual, may cause interference to radio
and television reception. It has been tested and found to comply with the
limits for a Class B computing device pursuant to Subpart
J
of Part 15 of
FCC Rules, which are designed to provide reasonable protection against such
interference in a residential installation. However, there is no guarantee that
interferenc.e will not occur in a particular installation. If you think your
computer system is causing interference, turn off the system. If the radio or
television reception does not improve, your computer system is probably not
causing the interference. In the unlikely event that your computer system does
cause interference to radio and television reception, you are encouraged to try
to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures.
• Relocate the radio or TV antenna.
• Move the computer system away from the radio or television.
• Plug the computer system into a different electrical outlet, so that the system
and the radio or television are on separate electrical circuits.
• Make sure that all your peripheral devices comply with FCC Class B limits.
• Make sure you use only shielded cables to connect peripherals to your
computer system (except for HP-IL peripherals).
