Installation Procedure
Whether you are installing an HP 82325 1 MB Memory Board or an HP 82326
4 MB Memory Board, the procedure is the same. Be sure to observe the
precautions given in "Handling Circuit Boards and [Cs Safely" throughout this
procedure.
Note
If you are adding a 4 MB board to a 1 MB system, remove the
1 MB board from the RAM-l location. (Refer to "Removal
Procedure," later in this section.) Then install the 4 MB board
in the RAM-l location and the 1 MB board in the RAM-2
location.
1. If you have not already done so, unpack the measurement coprocessor and
lay it on top of its antistatic bag, component side up.
2. Now unpack the memory board that you are going to install and lay it on
its antistatic bag, also component side up.
3. Remove the retainer screw from the metal stand-off post at the center of the
memory board, as shown below. (Save this screw for later.)
