Because of the HP-IB connector on its back panel, the
measurement coprocessor cannot be inserted straight into the
card guide. Also, the back panel is equipped with a metal
"gasket" to ensure a good ground connection. This gasket is
easily bent. To avoid damaging the measurement coprocessor,
follow the installation procedure carefully.
4. Pick up the measurement coprocessor at the front and back along the top
edge. Note that "back" refers to the end of the measurement coprocessor with
the HP-IB connector.
5. Holding the front of the measurement coprocessor slightly higher than
the back, engage the back panel in the slot so that the HP-IB connector
protrudes through, as shown below.
6. Lower the front end of the measurement coprocessor into the card guide
while carefully aligning the bottom edge with the computer I/O slot
connector.
7. Press down gently, but firmly, on the measurement coprocessor, fully
inserting it into the I/O slot connector.
8. Secure the measurement coprocessor with the screw you removed in step 3.
9. Replace the cover on the computer.
