11. THE HYDRAULICS

Before doing any sort of maintenance or repairs on the hydraulic system, follow the following
procedure. Ignoring this procedure may lead to serious injuries and/or damage to the machine.
- Apply the parking brake of the tractor.
- Close the machine's overpressure valve completely. This will result in maximum pressure.
- Put the tines in working position, if this is not the case already. See chapter 10.2.
- From the tractor cabin, put pressure on the hydraulic system for 2 minutes straight. This
will cause the accumulator to empty slowly.
- Put the tractor hydraulics in free / floating mode.
- Switch off the tractor engine.
- It is now possible to work safely on the hydraulic system.
