The CHARGE LED shows a red light when the M266 is charging. The LED shows a green light once the
M266 is charged. In order to ensure a correct display, the M266 must be switched off. If the M266 is
switched on, the CHARGE LED may show a red light although the battery is already charged.
14 Cleaning and maintenance information
Clean the device by placing it firmly onto a surface (e.g. table). This ensures a secure hold and the device
cannot slip out of your hand during the cleaning process.
14.1 Display/membrane keyboard
In order to clean the display or membrane keyboard, always switch off the device as the display responds to
all contact and could therefore compromise or interfere with the active program. Do not apply any severe
pressure to the display.
14.2 Charging contacts
If charging issues occur, clean the charging contacts with a soft, moist cloth.
When dealing with the DS266, the power plug must be disconnected beforehand!
14.3 Scanner glass
In the event of any irregularities during scanning, switch off the device and clean the scanner glass with
a soft, dry cloth. The scanner glass is ultra-transparent and can hardly be seen with the naked eye. Shape
the cloth in such a manner that it can easily be moved back and forth in the scanner shaft. Do not apply
excessive pressure to the glass.
