These buttons are used to navigate your way through the
Setup Menu. See the chapter entitled 'Menu control
system' for details of the menu function.
Within the Setup menu
Activates a menu point prior to adjustment. When the
settings are correct, this button terminates the adjustment
function and accepts the set value.
Outside the Setup menu
Briefly pressing this button calls up an INFOBOX on your
video monitor, displaying the current settings of the
VSP 1250 R in a clear form.
Opens the Setup menu of the VSP 1250 R.
The Setup menu of the VSP 1250 R is displayed on your
monitor, and is controlled using the navigation buttons
(see above).
For a more detailed explanation of the individual
adjustment functions of the menu, please refer to the
chapter entitled 'Menu control system'.
Pressing this button closes the Setup menu and removes
any superimposed menus from your video monitor.
Repeatedly pressing the 
brightness of the alpha-numeric lines on the machine's
integral display, cycling through the three available
settings to suit your personal preference. The following
brightness levels are available:
1. Normal setting :
Good legibility, even in daytime and in sunlight
2. Darkened :
Subdued setting, for dark locations
3. Display switched off :
The display is switched off completely
If you set brightness level 3, pressing any button
activates the display briefly and sets it to normal
brightness, making it possible to check the settings even
from a distance. The display automatically reverts to the
selected brightness level after about four seconds. For
the same reason it also takes about four seconds for a
newly selected brightness level to take effect.

Display
All the display elements of the VSP 1250 R are grouped
together in a single, neatly arranged display window.

In normal operations this area shows the
currently selected picture source and the
type of signal in use.
At various times the alpha-numeric display
field is also used to display status messages
and other operating notes.

This indicator lights up if the output signal is
of standard resolution (480 or 576 lines).
H1
This indicator lights up if the output signal is
a high-resolution picture with 720 or 768
lines.
H2
This indicator lights up if the output signal is
a high-resolution picture with 1080 lines.

This indicator lights up if the output signal is
a full-screen picture (Progressive Scan).
