5.7

Official testing

Official testing can only be selected if the beamsetter
is being operated in a network. In this case the
device receives the vehicle settings from the PC and
automatically activates official testing.
All the headlamps are checked. The software specifies
the sequence of the individual tests.
5.7.1

Vehicle settings

Devices with a trolley must be individually aligned for
each headlamp using the alignment laser.

The inclination of the headlamp cut-off must be in
accordance with legal requirements based on ECE
standards:

For low beams max. 80 cm from the ground, the
inclination must be at least 1 %.
$
For low beams more than 80 cm from the ground,
the inclination must be at least 1.5 %.

Testing of the right or left headlamp is always based
on the direction of travel.
The "Settings" menu indicates the typical settings for
the vehicle.

1. Vehicle type:

2. Headlamp type:

4. Headlamp inclination: Read off the cut-off inclination
specified by the manufacturer (e.g. 1.2 %) from
the top of the headlamp. Adjust the value with the
+ and – keys.
5. Height of light box from ground:
$
The specified value is shown on the left.
$
The current height is shown on the right.
$
The current height appears on a red background if
it differs from the specified value: Adjust with the
+ and – keys.
6. Confirm with OK if all the entries are correct.
7. A query appears asking whether the fog lamps are to
be tested.

8. Confirm the query with Yes if the vehicle is fitted
with a fog lamp. If fog lamp testing is not to be
performed, respond to the query with No.

Use the +/- keys to adjust the test specifications
if the specified inclination differs from the
manufacturer's data.

Testing low beam headlamp

The display in Fig. 28 (example) shows the vehicle
settings:
