Before first Use

Remove all parts of the thermometer from its packag-
ing and clean all the parts as described below in
chapter "Cleaning and Storing". Remove the protec-
tion foil from the display.

Intended Use

The meat thermometer is intended for monitoring of
the core temperature for the optimal preparation of
meat.
The meat thermometer is only intended for preparing
meat at home. It is not designed for medical purposes
or for public information.
The measuring probe of the meat thermometer can
also be used in the oven while cooking or in the grill.
Do not use the measuring probe in the microwave.

Inserting the Batteries

1. Open the battery compartment. Insert two batteries
of the type LR03 (AAA) 1.5 V into the battery com-
partment, observing correct polarity. The polarity
symbols are shown in the battery compartment.
2. Close the battery compartment.
3. Place the switch (10) at the rear side to the position
COOK. All the segments of the display will light up
for approx. 2 seconds and you will hear a short
signal sound.
