Rating (Child Protection)
Some DVDs provide ratings for target groups. Applicable is the
same standard used for movie ratings (i.e. "Rated 1 years of
age and above").
If you activated the child protection, if available, the informa-
tion is read by the DVD and compared to your selected setting.
If the DVD is authorized for and older age group as indicated
in your settings the DVD will not play. You may choose from
following options:
KID SAF: Acceptable for children.
G: Acceptable for all age groups.
PG: Parental guidance recommended. Some passages
may not be suitable for smaller children.
PG 13: Parental guidance strongly recommended. Some
passages may not be suitable for children under 1.
PGR: Parental guidance is necessary.
R: Adolescents under 17 years of age may view this movie
only if accompanied by an adult.
NC17: Children and adolescents are prohibited from viewing
this movie.
ADULT: This film is suitable for adults only.
Default setting
Select "Default/Restore", if you want to reset to the default
setting.
All previous settings entered by you will be reset.
You may set up diverse language settings.
OSD Language: Language of screen displays.
Audio Lang: Language of audio output.
Subtitle Lang: Language of film accompanied subtitles.
Menu Lang: Language of DVD menus.
Audio Output
To establish settings for audio-output.
SPDIF/OFF: Output for analog audio signal only.
SPDIF/RAW: Output for digital audio signal. If your amplifier
is not a dual channel stereo amplifier use this setting.
SPDIF/PCM: Output for a digital audio signal that may be
converted to a dual channel signal. Use this setting for a
dual channel stereo amplifier.
Note:
If no audio output is ensued, although the DVD-player is
connected to an amplifier, you may have chosen the wrong
setting for the audio output.
