Safety devices

The appliance is equipped with various safety devices to ensure safe operation:
■ The appliance cannot be started until the lid
correctly assembled and the lock
closed. If the appliance is not correctly assembled when the mains plug is
plugged in, it will beep.
■ The appliance stops if the press screw
flashes alternately green/red.
■ The appliance is equipped with an overheating protection and switches off
automatically if the motor becomes too hot due to overloading.
■ The appliance stops automatically after 1 minute and switches off after
another 5 minutes as soon as all the ingredients have been processed.

Producing vegetable oil

► Parts of the appliance become hot during operation, in particular the press
screw
before touching these parts!
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Make sure that no foreign objects, such as small stones, get into the press
screw
NOTE
Tips for use:
► You can use the pure vegetable oil you have made or refine it by adding
various ingredients. Garlic, chilli or herbs like rosemary, thyme, oregano or
basil are well-suited for this.
If you wash the ingredients beforehand, dab them well dry before adding
them to the oil. They should always be completely covered with oil and
shaken lightly from time to time to avoid the formation of mould.
You can leave the ingredients permanently in the oil or remove them after
approx. 2–4 weeks for a longer shelf life of 6–12 months.
► Store the oil in a cool, dark place in sterilised, hermetically sealed containers.
► The pulp, i.e. the press residue from oil production, can also be used in
many ways – e.g. as an additive in mueslis and quark preparations or
as a flour substitute.
► If you prefer clear oil, filter the oil through a tea filter or a fine cloth.
