4.2.1 Kameras
Bis zu vier Kameras können an die Buchsen

„ch1 – ch4 in" (11) angeschlossen werden. Die Ein-
gänge sind den Tasten (6) in der Reihenfolge von
CH
links nach rechts zugeordnet, d. h. die Taste
den Eingang „ch1" usw.
4.2.2 Monitor und Videorecorder
1) Den Hauptmonitor an die Buchse „monitor" (16)
anschließen.
2) Zur Aufzeichnung der Kamerabilder den Aufnah-
meeingang eines Videorecorders mit der Buchse
„vcr out" (15) verbinden. Die Aufzeichnung der
Bilder erfolgt ausschließlich im Quad-Format, un-
abhängig vom gerade eingestellten Betriebsmo-
dus für die Live-Überwachung.
Zur Wiedergabe der Aufzeichnung den Wie-
dergabeausgang des Recorders an die Buchse
„vcr in" (12) anschließen.
3) An den Buchsen „ch1 – ch4 out" (14) können die
durchgeschleiften Kameraeingangssignale abge-
nommen werden, z. B. für Einzelmonitore, zur ge-
trennten Aufnahme auf vier Videorecorder oder
für einen weiteren Quad-Prozessor.
Bei Anschluß von Geräten an die Ausgänge
„ch1 – ch4 out" müssen die jeweils darüberlie-
genden Kameraeingänge (11) auf hochohmigen
Durchschleifbetrieb eingestellt werden: Den Im-
pedanzumschalter (13) für den jeweiligen Kame-
raeingang in die obere Position „hi-Z" stellen.
Bleiben die Buchsen „ch1 – ch4 out" frei, müs-
sen die jeweils darüberliegenden Kameraein-
gänge mit 75 Ω abgeschlossen werden: Den
Impedanzumschalter für den jeweiligen Kamera-
eingang in die untere Position „75 Ω" stellen.
4.2.3 Fernbedienung oder Computer
An die 9polige Sub-D-Stiftleiste „remote" (9) kann
die als Zubehör lieferbare Fernbedienung TVSP-
412RM (Abb. 4) angeschlossen werden.
Statt der Fernbedienung kann – bei umfangrei-
chen Alarm-/ Überwachungsanlagen – auch ein Com-
puter bzw. ein Terminal mit einer RS-232-Schnittstelle

3) The fed-through camera input signals can be
picked up at the jacks "ch1 – ch4 out" (14), e. g. for
individual monitors, for separate recording on four
video recorders or for a further quad processor.
If units are connected to the outputs "ch1 – ch4
out", the respective camera inputs (11) located
above them have to be adjusted to feed-through
operation of high impedance: set the impedance
switch (13) for the respective camera input to the
upper position "hi-Z".
If the jacks "ch1 – ch4 out" remain unconnected,
the respective camera inputs located above them
have to be terminated with 75 Ω: set the impe-
dance switch for the respective camera input to the
lower position "75 Ω".
4.2.3 Remote control or computer
The remote control TVSP-412RM (fig. 4) available
as accessory can be connected to the 9-pole Sub D
pin rail "remote" (9).
In case of extensive alarm/monitoring systems,
instead of the remote control also a computer or a
terminal with an RS-232 interface can be connected
to the pin rail. The pin rail has the following configu-
ration (see fig. 2):

Achtung! Am Verbindungskabel zum Computer/Ter-
minal müssen die Anschlüsse 6 – 9 frei bleiben, da an
ihnen Betriebsspannung bzw. Masse für die Fernbe-
dienung TVSP-412RM anliegt.
4.2.4 Alarmverbindungen
Alle Alarmanschlüsse werden über die 9polige Sub-
D-Buchsenleiste „alarm in" (10) durchgeführt, die

1) Das Gerät besitzt für jeden Kamerakanal einen
Alarmeingang zum Anschluß eines Alarmsensors,
z. B. Bewegungsmelder. Die Alarmsensoren (mit
NO- oder NC-Kontakt) nach Abb. 2 an die Alarm-

4.2.4 Alarm connections
All alarm connections are made via the 9-pole Sub D
jack rail "alarm in" (10) which has the following pin

1) For each camera channel the unit is provided
with an alarm input for the connection of an alarm
sensor, e. g. motion detector. Connect the alarm
sensors (with NO or NC contact) to the alarm
inputs according to fig. 2. The contact "Sensor 1"
is assigned to the camera at the input "ch1", etc.
2) If required, an additional button for momentary
action (closing type) can be connected to the con-
tacts 5 and 6 to switch off the alarm (alarm reset).
3) A relay with NO and NC contacts serves as alarm
output (contacts 7 to 9). It switches in case of alarm
and thus activates the connected units. The alarm
output can e. g. be connected to the alarm input of
the video recorder or to further alarm devices.
4.2.5 Power supply
After connection of all remaining units, plug the low
voltage plug of the supplied plug-in power supply
unit into the jack "dc 12V. 1amp" (8) and connect the
plug-in power supply unit to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz).

ßer) als Alarmausschalter (Alarm Reset) an die
Kontakte 5 und 6 angeschlossen werden.
3) Als Alarmausgang (Kontakte 7 – 9) dient ein Re-
lais mit NO- und NC-Kontakt, das bei Alarm
schaltet und somit angeschlossene Geräte akti-
viert. Der Alarmausgang kann z. B. an den Alarm-
eingang des Videorecorders angeschlossen oder
mit weiteren Alarmgebern verbunden werden.
4.2.5 Stromversorgung
Nach dem Anschluß aller übrigen Geräte den Klein-
spannungsstecker des beiliegenden Steckernetzge-
rätes in die Buchse „dc 12V. 1amp" (8) stecken und
das Steckernetzgerät an eine Steckdose (230 V~/
50 Hz) anschließen.
5 Bedienung
Nach dem Anschluß an die Versorgungsspannung
ist das Gerät eingeschaltet. Ein kurzes akustisches
Signal ertönt, und die LED „Power" (1) leuchtet. Das
Gerät durchläuft nun einen Selbsttest (auf dem Bild-
schirm des angeschlossenen Monitors wird „INI-
TIALIZING" eingeblendet, und die LEDs der Bedien-
tasten leuchten nacheinander auf). Die Betriebsbe-
reitschaft wird anschließend durch einen längeren
Signalton signalisiert. Das Gerät schaltet auf Quad-
Betrieb (siehe Kapitel 5.1.1)
Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme sind die vom Her-
steller einprogrammierten Grundeinstellungen des
Gerätes aktiviert. Über das Bildschirm-Menü kann
das Gerät nach eigenen Wünschen neu program-
miert werden. Zum Vornehmen aller Einstellungen
lesen Sie bitte Kapitel 6.
Die Tasten (2) – (6) der als Zubehör erhältlichen Fern-
bedienung TVSP-412RM (siehe Abb. 4) entsprechen
jeweils den Tasten (2) – (6) am Quad-Prozessor. Der
Quad-Prozessor kann wahlweise über die Fernbedie-

After the connection to the supply voltage the unit is
switched on. A short acoustic signal sounds, and the
LED "Power" (1) lights up. The unit now performs a
self-test (on the screen of the connected monitor
"INITIALIZING" is inserted, and the LEDs of the
operating buttons light up successively). Then a lon-
ger signal sound indicates that the unit is ready for
operation. The unit switches to quad operation (see
chapter 5.1.1).
For the first putting into operation the basic set-
tings of the unit are activated, programmed by the
manufacturer. Via the screen menu the unit can be
reprogrammed as desired. For making all settings,
please refer to chapter 6.
The buttons (2) to (6) of the remote control TVSP-
412RM available as accessory (see fig. 4) corre-
spond in each case to the buttons (2) to (6) on the
quad processor. The quad processor can alterna-
tively be operated via the remote control or directly
via the buttons on its front panel.
Exceptions: It is not possible to call the screen
menu pages and subsequently to
store the settings and to leave the
screen menu (see chapter 6) via the
buttons "Lock" (2) and "Buzzer" (3) on
the remote control. For these func-
tions the corresponding buttons on the
quad processor must be used.
5.1 Live monitoring
5.1.1 Quad operation
For switching from full screen to quad operation
press the button
(5). In the quad mode the screen
of the monitor is subdivided into four segments for the
simultaneous display of up to four camera pictures. If
less than four cameras are connected, the corre-
sponding segments on the monitor are darkened.
In case of switched-off "freeze" function (see
chapter 6.1), by pressing one of the buttons (6) it is
possible to switch to full screen display of the corre-
sponding camera channel.
