CHARGING PROCEDURE:
• Grip the torch handle and unscrew the outer case anticlockwise, withdraw the torch body while holding it
vertical with the bulb assembly upwards.
• First connect the battery charger to the torch (by connecting the charging jack to the socket located near
the electronic circuit) and then to mains (check that the green LED lights up when the charger is connected
to mains). Correct charging shall be confirmed by the green LED being lit, as well as by the yellow LED in
flashing mode.
• The charging time from flat is shown in the table.
• When the batteries are fully charged, the automatic charger cuts off the supply (yellow LED lit) and remains
in standby mode until disconnected from mains.
If a second battery is to be immediately charged, disconnect the power supply, wait until the green and yellow
LEDs go off, first connect the battery and then feed the battery charger through mains. This shall be done for
safety reasons and in order to prevent accidental re-charging (overcharging) of just charged batteries (see
paragraph "Battery Technical Specifications").
• When the torch has been fully charged, close the torch after previously cleaning and lubricating the O-rings
and relevant seat with a silicone grease film.
• In case of long periods of non-use carry out a complete discharging-charging cycle every two months (the
discharging operation shall be effected with the torch under water).
• All torches are equipped with a battery protection electronic circuit which disconnects the feed current when
the voltage drops below a specified threshold and prevents possible polarity inversion, which would cause
irreparable damage to the batteries.
• However, avoid leaving the torch under charge for long periods of time.
• Batteries must be charged using only the battery charger supplied with the lamp.
CHECKS BEFORE DIVING:
• If the torch has not been recently used, check the state of the batteries and carry out a complete discharging-
charging cycle of the same.
• Check for the perfect seal of the body.
• When under water, check that there is no continuous discharge of air bubbles from the lamp body.
In case of water leakage into the torch, open it and rinse immediately the internal parts in fresh water, then
wipe with a cloth and dry with a warm air source, paying particular care to the electronic circuit. Remove the
oxide, if any, deposited on metal parts and immediately start recharging.
If the quantity of water leaked into the torch is considerable and if it has remained there for a long time, open
the torch and rinse immediately the internal parts in fresh water; in such occurrence immediately contact a
suitable servicing centre or the nearest Seac Diving pro centre.

FLOODING:
LIMITS OF USE:
• The maximum operating depth is 100 m.
• Owing to the high temperatures reached by the bulb, the lamp should be used only under water.
BULB REPLACEMENT:
• Unscrew the torch and extract the internal battery pack.
• Extract the bulb and insert the new one (avoid touching it with your hands by using a cloth).
• Reinsert the whole assembly making sure that the bulb fits in the reflector hole.
• Lubricate, if needed, threaded parts and O-rings, then close the torch.
MAINTENANCE AND TRANSPORT:
Compliance with the following instructions is required:
• Always carry the torch inside a bag protecting it from any shocks.
• Avoid prolonged exposure to sunrays.
• At the end of each dive (sea, lake or swimming-pool) always rinse in fresh water and wipe.
• Check the state of O-rings every time the body is opened.
• Clean and lubricate the parts involved in the opening process with silicone grease.
• It is recommended to have the product inspected every year at an authorized SEAC SUB centre.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS OF THE AUTOMATIC BATTERY CHARGER
FOR NI-MH ( NICKEL – METAL HYDRIDE) BATTERIES:
MODEL DELTA SW 1000/12 SUPPLIED WITH LIGHTHOUSE 50 W E 50 W POWERED TORCHES.
CAUTION: NON OBSERVANCE OF THESE INSTRUCTIONS MAY CAUSE IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE BATTERY
PACK.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF THE BATTERY CHARGER:
Check that the torch switch is in OFF position.
The Delta SW 1000/12 battery charger may be fed with 100 to 250 V. When connected to mains, the green
LED is on.
When the jack of the Delta SW 1000/12 battery charger is connected to the torch battery, the yellow LED is
flashing to signal that charging is in progress; when charging is completed, the yellow LED remains lit without
flashing and only a low standby current will flow into the battery.
In case of over-discharged battery, the battery charger will automatically supply at start a low smoothing charge;
when the minimum safety voltage has been reached, the actual recharging will start.
The time needed to reach full charge will be more or less long as a function both of the battery rated capacity
and of the charge quantity still present in it.
CAUTION !!
To avoid possible difficulties during the recharging operation, as a consequence of long periods of non-use, the
battery pack shall be recharged at least once every 60 days.
It is also advisable to store the battery pack fully charged before the beginning of a long inactivity period.
