The use of CULT stoves is as easy as using any other normal furnace. Note that the hatch of the
furnace is hanging and it needs to be lifted off.
When lighting the SUB LT built-in stove, good firelighters and wood chopped small are essential.
Note also that the exhaust goes to the right direction and the smoke and the flames do not hit out
of the hatch. The direction of the draught can be helped by blowing air to the opening of the air
slide or by burning a small firelighter in the upper part of the chimney. The mouth of the stove and
the hatch will bend if you let the draught continue in the wrong direction. This will not be covered
by the guarantee.
MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY OF THE TUB
Cover the tub when it is not in use to keep it clean. There are optional model-specific covers
available for covering the tub. During heating, the tub should be covered in order to keep the heat
evaporation as low as possible. The built-in stoves need to have space around the chimney when
heating.
Surface treatment
Stained spruce
The stain colour is Teknos' Woodex Aqua with dark walnut (TM-1704). The surface can be retreated
with a similar substance when needed.
ProfiLine composite
Composite panelling endures wear and humidity well and rejects stains and mould. The surface
does not have any splinters either. The composite endures UV radiation, so it does not become
grey. They are really easy to treat and demand no maintenance other than a wash every now and
then.
Other remarks
Note that the discharge tap should always be left half open in an empty tub. If the tap is open, some
water may remain behind the valve ball, which will break the valve when it freezes. Use the
supplied hat instead of the valve at subzero temperatures.
The external stove is emptied at the same time when you empty the water from the tub. Do not
leave water unsupervised/unheated at subzero temperatures. The plastic drain pipes and taps
freeze really easily. In case the exhaust hose/tap has frozen, the tub can be emptied by removing
the stove to lead the water away from the lower hose. Do not light a frozen stove. It needs to be
thawed slowly.
