Serial RS232 connection
 To make the serial connection, usa a shielded cable, taking care to connect the shield to

one of the two ends. If the cable has more wires than those used, connect the free wires to
the shield.
 The serial connection cable must have a maximum length of 15 meters (EIA RS-232-C
standards), beyond which it is necessary to adopt the RS422 interface of the instrument.
 The cable must not be channeled with other cables (e.g. outputs connected to contactors or
power cables), but must possibly follow its own path.
The PC used for the connection must comply with EN 60950.


Connection of analog outputs (only RQ/ANA version)
The instrument provides an analog current and a voltage output with the following characteristics:
Voltage output: range from –10 to 10 Volt or from –5 to 5 Volt, minimum load 10 kΩ

 Current output: range from 0 to 20 mA or from 4 to 20 mA, the maximum load is 300 Ω
A 0-10 V or 0-5 V output is possible after configuration in the factory .
 To make the connection use a shielded cable, taking care to connect the screen to only

one of the two ends: to pin 13 if connected from the side of the instrument, to earth if con-
nected from the opposite side.
 The analogue transmission is particularly sensitive to electromagnetic disturbances, there-
fore it is recommended that the cables be as short as possible and follow their own path.
