WARNING:
a lanyard cannot be used in connection between a harness and mobile fall protection on belay support if it has been tested
and certified according to the standards EN353-2. In these cases, follow the instructions described in the manual that are
specific to the mobile fall arrest on safety support (EN353-2).
It is dangerous to create your own fall arrest system as each safety function may interfere with another safety function.
No modification or addition or repair of the PPE may be made without prior written consent from the manufacturer without
using their procedures.
Do not use beyond the scope of use defined in the usage instructions, nor beyond its limits.
The manufacturer cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect accident after a modification or use other than that provided in
this manual.

STORAGE INSTRUCTIONS:

During transport and storage:
- keep the product in its packaging
- keep the product away from any sharp, abrasive, objects etc...
- Kkep the product away from sunlight, heat, flames, hot metal, oil, petroleum products, harsh chemicals, acids, dyes,
solvents, sharp edges and structures of small diameter. These items can affect the performance of the fall arrest device.
After use, store the product in its packaging in a cool, dry, ventilated area.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEANING/MAINTENANCE:
Clean with soap and water, wipe with a cloth and hang in a ventilated area to dry naturally away from any direct fire or source
of heat, even for items that got wet during use.
Do not use bleach, harsh detergents, solvents, gasoline or colouring, these substances can affect the performance of the fall
arrest device.
The metal parts are wiped with a cloth soaked in vaseline oil. Bleach and detergents are strictly prohibited.
PERFORMANCE / COMPLIANCE:
Compliance with the essential requirements of Directive 89/686/EEC, in particular in terms of design, ergonomics and safety.
Meets with requirements and test standards EN363, EN364, EN365, EN353-2.
Lanyard rope or strap: tensile strength> 22 kN.
SUITABILITY FOR USE: FENNEC®... must only be used with the ropes for which it was certified.
The equipment must be used as part of a fall arrest system as defined in the product data sheet (see standard EN363)
including a connector, an anchor point, a 12mm diameter rope and a body support device (fall arresting harness - see
standard EN361). A fall arresting harness (EN361) is the only body support device that may be used. Read the
recommendations for use of each component in the system before use. Check that the components are compatible using the
compatibility table. If in doubt, contact the manufacturer.
CLEANING & STORAGE:
Keep the Fennec and its ropes away from any sharp objects during transport and store it in its packaging. Clean with water and
then wipe with a dry cloth and hang it in a ventilated room to dry naturally away from flames or a heat source. Do not use
abrasive products. The fall arrester must be stored in a dry, well ventilated place and protected from temperature extremes.
The ropes must be protected from any source of heat and any contact with chemical products. Store in a dry place away from
acids or an acid environment in its original packaging. Keep away from chemical products which may damage the product and
jeopardise its safety.
