TYPES OF STITCHES

STRAIGHT (A,B) – most popular, can be used for: lockstitch, gathering,
quilting, zipper sewing and many more. For different type of operation use
correct foot.
ZIGZAG (C) - it can be used for sewing safety stitches, decorative stitches, to sew
on applique etc. To change width of the stitch dial needed value between B and
C.
THREE POINT ZIGZAG (D) - used as standard zigzag, but for difficult elastic
materials.
Because of three point stitch will stretch with working material.
SAFETY ELASTIC STITCH (E) and SAFETY STITCH (F) - used for blind
hemming in dresses, trouser leg -this stitch will sew without stitches
showing on right side of fabric. Remember to match colour of the thread to
sewing material.

Fold up the fabric as illustrated. Disctance „2" should be around 0,4-0,7 cm.
2. Lower the presser foot, then loosen the foot holder screw to place the hem
guide between the screw and the shank of foot holder. Tighten the screw
making sure the hem guide is placed in thE middle of the presser foot.
3. Raise the presser foot and place the fabric under the foot (3).

Lower the presser foot and sew very slowly for better control, straight sticthes
should be sew near to the edge of teh fabric and zigzag fall on the hen and
pierce the soft fold (4).
5. While sewing, make sure that fabric is transported correctly.
SHELL TUCK (H) – used mostly for decorative
sewing.
Place the folded edge along the slot of foot. The
needle should fall off the edge of the fabric on the right
forming a tuck.§
