6 Common faults

In case of malfunctions which can impair safety, the system must be shut down immediately and secured
against being switched on again. The malfunction must then be rectified immediately.
Fault Possible remedies
Device does not Is the mains fuse connected?

Is the DC voltage higher than the switch-on voltage of the Solar Inverter?

Time is incorrect Set the time in menu «Solar Inverter – Settings – Date/Time».
Error message 101: Check the dimensioning of your PV generator. Too many modules are connected in
U-DCmax series. Reduce the number of modules and re-commission the system.
Error message 102: The Solar Inverter has detected an insulation fault in the PV system during startup.
Insulation Check your PV system for possible insulation faults (crushed DC cables etc.). The meas-
ured insulation resistance must be at least 1000 kΩ.
Error message Check your PV system for possible insulation faults.
103/104: AFI fault
Error message Ask your Electric Utility about grid stability and design.
209:

Error message 302: Restart the Solar Inverter. If the error persists, please contact the technical hotline.
Monitoring You will find the latest software on the Sunways website under Product Support.
Error message 404: Check the bus cables and terminating resistor connectors. (at the first and last unit).
CAN bus Check whether the maximum permitted cable length of 100 m was exceeded.
Check whether bus cables were installed parallel to power cables. Separate bus lines
and power cables if necessary.
Warning 501: Solar No sensor found on sensor channel 1 (solar) or 2 (temperature).
Warning 502: If a sensor is connected: Check the sensor connection.
Temperature If no sensor is connected: Check the configuration via the Sunways Browser.
