Questions
• « I cannot close the lid ».
• « The appliance is not working ».
• « I cannot unlock the lid »
• The appliance stops while functioning due to a blockage:
• « The food has stopped coming out of the exit spout».
USEFUL TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS:
• Some foods are unsuitable for processing with certain blade cartridges in the Fresh Express Cube & Stick so
check the processing table first.
• Hard texture foods such as Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan) cheese, chocolate, nuts, root ginger, raw and
cooked meat should never be processed with any of the blades.
• Use the freshest vegetables and fruit possible. Vegetables must be firm to get satisfactory results and to
avoid an accumulation of food in the protector tray (B).
• Cut food so that it fits easily in the feed tube. Make sure the food only reaches within 1 cm of the top of
the feed tube so there is room to insert the food pusher.
• Cut the food so that the bottom is flat before placing in the feed tube. This helps to process the food more
evenly.
• When slicing foods such as carrots and courgettes stack the food upright in the feed tube, packing them
together to prevent them slipping, to ensure even round shape slices.
• For some foods we recommend you leave the ingredients in the refrigerator before processing them, such
as when making cubes or sticks with cooked vegetables and cooked potatoes.
• If using cooked vegetables take care not to overcook them otherwise you will obtain poor results.
• When preparing cheese use it straight from the refrigerator. For best results use firm texture cheese such
as Emmental or Gruyère. Crumbly texture cheese, including some types of Cheddar, will not work well.
• After processing it is normal for some pieces of processed food to get trapped on the underside of the
protector tray and in the blade cartridge, particularly with the cube blade cartridge (E4) and stick/fries
blade cartridge (E5). Turn the blade cartridge upside down and use the cleaning tool (F) to remove any
food.

carefully (Fig. 10).
• The removable tray, the pusher and the blade cartridges (E1, E2, E3, E4, E5) can be placed in the dishwasher
in the top basket and cleaned using the "ECO" or "LESS DIRTY" functions (Fig. 11).
• The lid can be rinsed under water but must not be placed in the dishwasher. (Fig. 12).
