an appliance which has been damaged or dropped .

and understand the resulting hazards .

Do not allow children to use the appliance as a toy .

unless they are supervised .

All repairs must be carried out by authorised specialist companies or by the
Customer Service department . Improper repairs can pose significant risks
to the user . It will also invalidate any warranty claims .
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE

Defective components must always be replaced with genuine replacement
parts . Compliance with safety requirements can only be guaranteed if
original replacement parts are used .

Do not allow any liquids or moisture to get into the appliance .

Do not place any objects on the scales when they are not in use .
►
Protect the appliance against knocks, dust, chemicals, extremes of tempera-
ture, etc . and keep it away from sources of heat (ovens, radiators) .

Do not press down on the scales .
►
Do not press on the plastic cover of the display .
►
Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures .
►
Never load the scales with more than 2000 g (4 .4 lb) .
The scales could be irreparably damaged .
