Thismanual refers to the stove type listed above, whichhas been tested inaccordancewith EN13240.
Congratulationsonyourpurchase of a new woodburning stovefromWestfireApS.Please readthis manual carefully
in orderto ensure that yougetmaximum enjoyment fromyour new stoveandto prevent any problems.Please note
that "all local regulations, including thosereferring to national andEuropeanStandards, needto be compliedwith
when installing this appliance".
Forfurther informationoninstalling and usingfireplaces andwoodburning stoves, pleasesee the relevant building
regulationsthat applytothe countryin which UNIQ37 has beenapproved,as well as the relevant documentsonthe
correct use of woodburning stovesavailable fromyourlocal stove supplier oryourChimneysweep.
These instructions coverthe basicprinciples to ensurethe satisfactory installation of the UNIQ37 woodstove,
althoughdetail may needslight modificationto suit particular local site conditions.In all cases the installation must
complywith current Building Regulations, Local AuthorityByelaws and otherspecifications orregulationsas they
affect the installation of the stove.
It should be notedthat the Building Regulationsrequirementsmay be met byadopting the relevant recommen-
dationsgiven in British StandardsBS 8303, BE EN15287-1:2007 design, installation andcommissioningof chimneys.
Health and Safety Regulations
Special care must betaken when installing the stove suchthat the requirementsofthe HealthandSafety at Work
Act are met.
Handling
Adequatefacilities must be available forloading, unloadingandsite handling.
FireCement
Sometypes of fire cement are causticandshouldnot beallowedto comeintocontact with the skin.In case of
contact, wash immediately with plenty of water.
Asbestos
Thisstovecontainsnoasbestos. If there is a possibility of disturbingany asbestosin the course of installation then
please seek specialist guidanceand use appropriateprotectiveequipment.
MetalParts
Wheninstalling orservicing this stovecare should betaken toavoidthe possibility of personal injury.
CO Alarms
Building regulations require that whenever a new or replacement fixed solid fuel or wood/biomass appliance
is installed in a dwelling a carbonmonoxide alarm must be fitted in the same roomas the appliance. Further
guidance on the installation of the carbon monoxide alarm is available in BS EN50292:2002 and from the alarm
manufacturer's instructions. Provision of an alarm must not be considered a substitute for either installing the
appliance correctly or ensuring regular servicing and maintenance of the appliance and chimney system.
Stove paint aerosols
Paint aerosolsare flammable andtherefore dangerousto use arounda lit stove. Be sure toallow aerosol spray
paintsto dryandventilate the roomwell beforelighting the stove. Theuse ofany aerosol aroundlit stoveis
dangerousandcare must betake in handling aerosols.
