14. Never cover the appliance with cloths or the like while it is in
use. The air inlet and outlet openings must never be obstructed.
Do not place anything on the air humidifier and under no cir­
cumstances sit down on the appliance.
15. Do not use the appliance in wet rooms or in moist surround­
ings as e. g. a bathroom or a swimming pool. Danger of electric
shock and fire! Also, the appliance must not be used in rooms
with explosive or aggressive atmospheres, high concentrations

of solvents or extremely high dust exposure. The appliance
must not be used if you are burning incense sticks or while
chemical insect control fumes (including insect repellent sprays)
or the like are in the air. Do not spray any room scents, deodor­
ants, insect repellent sprays etc. near the appliance.
16. The appliance is not designed for outdoor use. The appliance
must not come into contact with rain. Do not use in vehicles
or on boats.
17. Always disconnect the power plug if the appliance is not in
use or if you want to clean it resp. remove the motor unit. We
recommend the use of a residual current device (RCD safety
switch) to ensure additional protection during the use of elec­
trical appliances. It is advisable to use a safety switch with a
rated residual operating current of 30 mA maximum. For pro­
fessional advice consult an electrician.
18. Incorrect use may cause injury!
19. Never reach for an appliance that has fallen into water or other
liquids. Always use dry rubber gloves to disconnect the power
adapter before taking it out. Do not start using it again before
having it checked for functionality and safety by Solis or a ser­
vice centre authorized by Solis.
20. Never place the appliance so that it might fall into water or,
on its outside, come into contact with water or another liquid.

21. Never immerse the motor unit, the outside of the water basin
or parts of the appliance such as the power cord or the power
adapter in water or bring them into contact with water or
other liquids.
22. Place the appliance so that it is never exposed to direct sun­
light. Extremely low temperatures should be avoided as well.
The plastic parts might otherwise change color or distort.
23. Never insert any objects or tool into appliance openings. The
appliance may become damaged – danger of electric shock!
24. Before attaching or removing parts, always switch the appli­
ance off, disconnect the power adapter and pour away the
water in the water basin.
25. Caution: Remove the motor unit from the appliance base only
when the appliance is switched off and unplugged. Do not
switch the appliance back on until the water basin has been
refilled with water and the appliance has been reassembled
correctly.
26. Only use fresh, cold tap water to fill the water basin. First, pour
away the water remaining in the water basin. It is best to fill
the water basin with water up to the max. marking. Under
no circumstances add any additives like essential oils or
perfume to the water. Do not fill the water basin with
any other liquids or warm resp. hot water.
27. Always make sure that the appliance is correctly assembled
before connecting it to a power socket and starting to use it.
28. Do not shake or move the appliance while it is in use. Never
replace the water­filled, switched­on appliance! Before moving
the appliance, you should switch it off, disconnect the power
adapter and empty out the water basin.
