hot-melt adhesive is forced out all around the
circumference.
With system covers HSI90 D3x32 WS and HSI90
D6x20 WS this process is repeated for the appropri-
ate number of sockets. Such connections as are
left empty are to be sealed with VS32 end plugs
(tighten screw by hand as far as it will go) or
VS20 end plugs (4 Nm tightening torque).
Cold shrinking technology – shrinking

Follow the same preparation procedure as described
in work stage 1 and 2.
The next step is to push the hot-shrink sleeve onto
the socket and pull in the cleaned cable.
Hold the cold-shrink sleeve tight up against the stop
with one hand and, with the free hand, pull out the
supporting spiral until the start of the shrink-sleeve
is resting on the start of the socket (see fig.: 11).
As soon as the sleeve is on the socket, the suppor-
ting spiral can be unscrewed anticlockwise, with
both hands around the spiral windings (see fig.: 12).
With system covers HSI90 D3x32 KS and HSI90
D6x20 KS this process is repeated for the appro-
priate number of sockets. Such connections as are
left empty are to be sealed with VS32 end plugs
(tighten screw by hand as far as it will go) or
VS20 end plugs (4 Nm tightening torque).
6 Pipe connection installation for
smooth and corrugated pipes
Mark the insertion depth of 70 mm on the duct.

Slide the hot-shrink sleeve over the pipe and insert
the pipe end into the HSI90 D75 (KS) pipe connec-
tion cover as far as the mark.
Complete the remaining tasks as described in work
stage 3a and 3b.
7 Lock cover installation
Lubricate the seal ring of the new lock cover all over

with the Hauff GM lubricant supplied (see fig.: 14).
Using the SLS 6G flexible socket wrench, twist the

lock cover to the right into the packing piece via the
wrench threads until it stops (see fig.: 15).
► When correctly mounted, the articulated face
spanner inserts in the closing cover are congru-
ent with the arrows on the square frame of the
wall insert (see fig.: 16).
