Install the detector:
I
at the right height with respect to the length of the room (see table below),
G
at right angles to the entrances to be protected (interior detection works best when
G
the intruder walks across the detector's field-of-view)
in order that no animal can access the forbidden zones (see diagrams on next
G
page),
directed towards the inside of the room to be protected,
G
in such a way that the area it protects does not overlap with that of another motion
G
detector (Fig. B).
It is advisable to protect access to the base unit with a motion detector.
Do not install the detector:
I
in an area likely to receive direct sunlight or a very powerful light source,
G
opposite or above a source of heat,
G
outside or in a breezy place,
G
directly on to a metal wall or close to sources of interference (electricity meters,
G
etc.) or ventilation such as air-conditioning grilles,
in front of a staircase open to animals.

the layout of the room, you can point
the detector so that it detects the right
areas in terms of human and pet detec-
