Preparing the Telephone
Programming the wristband transmitter
After connecting the power plug, the LED on the underside of the phone
flashes for approx. 5 seconds. After the LED has stopped flashing, you can
programme the wristband transmitter.
In order to use the emergency call function using the RT26 wristband
transmitter, the telephone must be programmed for the wristband transmit­
ter. Programming is completed using the PTx button on the underside of
the phone.
A suitable object is required in order to press the PTx button (e.g.
the nib of a ballpoint pen).

4. Press the PTx button briefly. The LED on the underside of the phone
flashes.
5. Press the Transmit button on the RT26 wristband transmitter. The
LED on the underside of the phone lights up for 4 seconds.
The phone is now ready to operate via the RT26 wristband transmitter.
Attention: To ensure that the wristband transmitter is
programmed correctly, complete a call test.

Inserting the Batteries
Insert the batteries in the open
battery compartment. Only
use batteries of the type AA
1.5 V. Pay attention to the cor­
rect polarity. Close the battery
compartment cover.
Insertion of batteries is not absolutely essential. The telephone
can be operated with or without batteries. The full range of tele­
phone functions can only be used when the batteries are cor­
rectly inserted, sufficiently charged and of the correct type or the
power adapter plug is connected. Pay attention that the tele­
phone is not connected to the telephone line socket and/or
mains power socket when batteries are being inserted or re­
placed.

Setting the time and date
The time and date are set via the menu. Refer to Page 33 for the se­
quence of menu option selections.
