OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAT. #2300
BATTERY INSTALLATION
1. Remove lens and cover by turning counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the lamp module.
3. Remove used batteries and replace with fresh batteries
+ ends up.
4. Replace the lamp module.
5. Replace lens housing squarely on threads and turn
clockwise while pressing on the lens cover slightly.
ON/OFF
Turn the lens housing clockwise until light activates.
To turn light off, back lens housing off counter-clockwise until
light goes off. Continue to back off for approximately 1 full turn
to eliminate possibility of light activating accidentally in storage.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
LAMP REPLACEMENT
To replace the lamp module follow steps in the battery
installation section as listed below: To remove lamp module
follow steps #1 and #2. To replace lamp module follow
steps #4 and #5.
CAUTION: If light is not to be used for some time, remove
batteries to prevent possible leakage and corrosion.

Hydrogen Gas Absorber Pellets
Located inside the torch are catalyst pellets which are pres-
ent to absorb hydrogen gas that could possibly be emitted by
defective, leaking, reversed polarity or heavily discharged bat-
teries. If the pellets become wet, let them air dry. Peli Products
assumes no liability for any brand batteries which are
defective or cause injury to anyone when used in any Peli
torch.

BATTERIES CAN BE DANGEROUS!
Most battery issues arise from improper handling of batteries,
and particularly from the use of damaged or counterfeit bat-
teries. Please review the information below to avoid serious
injury and/or damage to your property.
Alkaline Batteries
1. For those lights with hazardous location safety approvals
for explosive environments please be advised that the
safety approval is only valid for the specified battery type
manufacturer and, where applicable, brand names that are
displayed on the flashlight and/or instructions sheets that
are supplied with the light. The use of other battery tech-
nologies may reduce the performance of the flashlight and
will invalidate the safety approval.
2. Always read the battery manufacturers recommendations
for the appropriate use of the battery technology/brand
prior to using the flashlight.
3. When replacing the batteries:
a. Replace all the batteries at the same time.
b. Do not mix battery brands and old and new batteries.
c. Always insert batteries correctly with regard to polarity
(+ and -) marked on the battery and equipment.
4. Do not change batteries in a hazardous location.
5. Remove batteries from equipment if it is not to be used for
an extended period of time.

INSTRUCCIONES DE FUNCIONAMIENTO NO. DE CAT. 2300
INSTALACION DE LAS PILAS
1. Retire la lente y la cubierta girándola en sentido contrario de
las agujas del reloj.
2. Retire el módulo de la bombilla.
3. Retire las pilas usadas y coloque las pilas nuevas con el
polo + hacia arriba.
4. Vuelva a colocar el módulo de la bombilla.
5. Vuelva a colocar el bastidor de la lente sobre la roscay gire
en el sentido de las agujas del reloj al mismo tiempo que
ejerce un poco de presión sobre el mismo.
ENCENDIDO / APAGADO
La luz se enciende girando el bastidor de la lente en el sentido
de las agujas del reloj. Para apagarla, gire en sentido opuesto
hasta que se apague la luz. Siga girando aproximadamente una
vuelta completa para eliminar la posibilidad de que la luz se enci-
enda por error al estar guardada. NO APRIETE DEMASIADO.
REEMPLAZO DE LA BOMBILLA
Para cambiar el módulo de la bombilla, siga los pasos
especificados para la instalación de las pilas que aparecen a
continuación: Para retirar el módulo de la bombilla, siga los
pasos No. 1 y 2. Para cambiar el módulo de la bombilla, siga
los pasos No. 4 y 5.
PRECAUCION: Si no se va a usar la linterna por algún tiempo,
retire las pilas para evitar la posibilidad que ocurra una fuga y
corrosión.

Pastillas absorbentes de gas de hidrógeno
Dentro de la linterna se encuentran pastillas catalíticas para
absorber el gas de hidrógeno que se pudiera liberar a causa
de defectos, fugas, polaridad inversa o agotamiento total de las
pilas. Si se mojan las pastillas, deje que se sequen al aire
o cámbielas. Peli Products no asume responsabilidad alguna
por pilas de ninguna marca que tengan defectos o que causen
lesiones a cualquier persona cuando se usen encualquier
linterna de Peli.
AVISO: MANIPULAR Y GUARDAR LAS PILAS CON
PRECAUCIÓN PARA EVITAR DAÑOSLAS PILAS
PUEDEN SER PELIGROSAS.
La mayoría de los problemas relacionados con las pilas surgen
al utilizarlas incorrectamente y, sobre todo, al emplear pilas
falsas o en mal estado. Consultar la información siguiente para
evitar daños personales o en el producto.
Pilas alcalinas
1. Los certificados de seguridad para zonas peligrosas en entor-
nos explosivos que ofrecen ciertas linternas solo se aplican al
fabricante de pilas especificado y, si procede, a las marcas que
aparecen en la linterna o en las hojas de instrucciones que la
acompañan. El uso de cualquier otro tipo de pilas puede afectar
al rendimiento de la linterna y anula el certificado de seguridad.
2. Consultar siempre las recomendaciones de uso del
fabricante de las pilas antes de utilizar la linterna.
3. Para cambiar las pilas:
a. Sustituir todas las pilas a la vez.
b. No mezclar pilas de distinta marca ni pilas usadas con
nuevas.
c. Introducir las pilas correctamente siguiendo la polaridad
(+ y -) indicada en la pila y en el producto.
4. No cambiar las pilas en zonas peligrosas.
5. Sacar las pilas si el producto no va a utilizarse durante
mucho tiempo.
