Choose the filter class according to table 1 and 2 and make sure that the toxic concentration does not exceed the percentage
shown in this table. When particles or aerosols are present, choose a particle filter according to the table 2, or a combination
filter according to table 1 and 2.

It is important that the "Multiple" of the limit value in Table 3 is not exceeded. On the use of AX filters against low-boiling gases,
the currently applicable limitation of use of gas filters against organic compounds with a boiling point < 65°C must be observed.
The limitation of use on AX filters is enclosed with the AX filters.

Unsatisfactory warnings regarding dangerous stuff (material) require special rules.

Check if the expiration date shown on the filter has not been exceeded.

Unpack the filters and remove the sealing covers.
-
Screw the filter into the screw thread.

Check if the impermeability corresponds to the information in the operating instructions for the mask and/or for the powered air
purifying respirator system.

Check the suitability of components used and here from the resulting device class (see Table 5) for the application purpose.

Check the filter for visible damage.
-
Check the storage time expiration date for gas- and combination filters (see filter label).
-
Exchange damaged parts immediately.
-
Do never use unsealed or damaged filters.
-
Replace non factory sealed filters after 6 months, at the latest.

Only gas and combination filters stored sealed may be reused on certain conditions (at the utmost 6 month).
-
Check if the 6-monthly time limit of usage for used gas and combination filters is observed.
-
If the breathing resistance becomes excessive, exchange the particle filter.
-
Upon perception of smell or taste, exchange gas and combination filters immediately. Consult the supervisor upon smell or
tasteless gases.

Different types can be combined in one filter, e.g. A2B2E2K2P3
R = Filters may be used on multiple shifts.
The additional identification mark "R" means that, based on supplementary tests according to EN 143:2000/A1:2006 is
proven, particle filters and respectively the particle filter part of a combination filter are reusable after aerosol exposition
(use on multiple shifts). Exchange the filter when the breathing resistance is unpleasant high.
