This Installation and Maintenance Guide introduces the operation, installation, maintenance and use of the
Oras Nova thermostatic faucet. Please read the instructions carefully prior to installation and save them for
reference where servicing may be needed. If any fault or malfunction occurs in the faucet, seek the best
possible advice at an expert HVAC store.
Operation
Oras Nova is turned on and off from the flow control handle on its left-hand side. The temperature adjustment
handle on the right is equipped with a stop button. The limit can be passed by simultaneously pressing the
stop button and turning the temperature adjustment handle. Temperature is factory preset to 38°C.
Places of Use
Oras Nova is designed for use in the bathroom as a shower faucet and for tub filling.
Installation

Oras Nova's faucet interval is 150 + 20 mm and nut thread G 3/4. Hot water is connected to the left and
cold water to the right. Litter filters are placed into the inlet unions. Incoming water must not be cross-
connected!
Temperature adjustment
– Pull off the temperature adjustment handle.
– Turn on the water.
– Adjust water temperature as required by turning the temperature adjustment handle.
– Press the knob back in place so that the stop button is above and to the right of the limiter
shoulder (figure 4).
Cleaning/changing the litter filters
– Close the water inlet to the faucet.
– Demount the faucet from the wall.
– Clean the litter filters under running water. If necessary, change for new ones.
– Remount the faucet.
– Open the water inlet to check that the faucet works correctly.
Servicing the cartridge
– Close the water inlet to the faucet.
– Pull off and detach the temperature adjustment handle and limiter. Use a 38 mm box wrench (e.g. Oras
box wrench no. 910003) or open-end spanner to unscrew the grooved locking nut.
– Pull out the cartridge.
– Clean the cartridge its filters under running water using e.g. soft brush.The cartridge must be replaced
if damaged.
– Lubricate the O-rings with o-ring grease (Oras 911311) and replace the element in the faucet.
– Screw the grooved locking nut back in place.
– Place the limiter back over the stem so that the limiter shoulder is in line with the 38° mark
on the faucet (see figure 4).
– Remount the temperature adjustment handle, open the water supply, check for faultless
operation and adjust the temperature if required.
