Installing an external ion exchanger

An external ion exchanger should be used from 10 °dH to reduce limescale deposits in
the hot water tank of the appliance and thus extend the maintenance intervals.
Note: If installing an external ion exchanger, follow the instructions supplied for
the filter head and filter cartridge.
Note: to flush through the ion exchanger before using it for the first time, connect
it directly to the angle valve and drain the water into a bucket or drain (depend-
ing on the size: 500 = 2-3 min, 1000 = 3-5 min, 2000 = 5-7 min).
1. Connect the angle valve to the water inlet of the ion exchanger.
2. Connect the water outlet of the ion exchanger to the cold water inlet of the
Hydroboil appliance.
