Connecting the Livox Hub
Before connecting, make sure to use CAT5E or above Gigabet Ethernet cables and a Gigabit
router. The voltage of the external power supply should be from 10 V to 23 V. The data of Livox
Hub is transmitted using an Ethernet cable. Addresses are assigned by default to a Livox Hub
using the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). When connecting Livox Hub for the first
time, it is recommended to use a router.
The Livox Mid-40 is used in the example below.
PC
1. Connect the Livox Mid-40 to Livox Hub (A Livox Hub can connect up to nine Livox LiDAR
sensor units).

3. Connect Livox Hub to an external power source.
• Make sure both Livox Hub and the computer are connected to the LAN port on the router.
