Hinweise für den sicheren Gebrauch
Das Gerät entspricht allen erforderlichen Richtlinien
der EU und ist deshalb mit
gekennzeichnet.
WARNUNG Das Gerät wird mit lebensgefährli-
cher Netzspannung (230 V~) ver-
sorgt. Nehmen Sie deshalb nie selbst
Eingriffe am Gerät vor. Durch un-
sachgemäßes Vorgehen besteht die
Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages.
Beachten Sie auch unbedingt die folgenden Punkte:
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innenbe-
reich geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropf- und
Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze
(zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich 0 – 40 °C).
Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Gefäße,
z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und ziehen
Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose,
wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder an der Netz-
anschlussleitung vorhanden sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie an der Zuleitung aus
der Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker an.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht richtig
angeschlossen, falsch bedient oder nicht fachge-
recht repariert, kann keine Garantie für das Gerät
und keine Haftung für daraus resultierende Sach-
oder Personenschäden übernommen werden.
Soll das Gerät endgültig aus dem Betrieb
genommen werden, übergeben Sie es zur
umweltgerechten Entsorgung einem örtli-
chen Recyclingbetrieb.

Please observe the following items in any case:
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it
against dripping water and splash water, high air
humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not place any vessel filled with liquid on the
unit, e. g. a drinking glass.
Do not operate the unit or immediately disconnect
the plug from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the unit or to the
mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit
was dropped or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled
personnel.
Never pull the mains cable for disconnecting the
mains plug from the socket, always seize the plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use
chemicals or water.
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage

than originally intended, if it is not correctly con-
nected, operated, or not repaired in an expert way.

green/yellow = earth
blue = neutral

Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Das Mischpult MPX-808 mit vier Stereo-Eingangs-
kanälen, vier Mikrofonkanälen und einem DJ-Mikro-
fonkanal ist für vielfältige DJ-Anwendungen im pri-
vaten und professionellen Bereich geeignet.
Das Gerät kann sowohl frei aufgestellt als auch in
ein Bedienpult eingebaut werden. Es eignet sich
ebenso für die Montage in ein Rack (482 mm/19").
Für die Rackmontage wird eine Höhe von 6 HE (Hö-
heneinheiten) = 267 mm benötigt.

Mischpult anschließen
Vor dem Anschließen von Geräten oder vor dem
Ändern bestehender Anschlüsse das Mischpult und
alle anderen Audiogeräte ausschalten oder alle Aus-
gangssignale auf Null stellen.
4.1 Eingänge
1) Die Stereo-Tonquellen an die entsprechenden
Cinch-Eingangsbuchsen der Kanäle CH 1 – 4 an-
schließen (Buchse L = linker Kanal; Buchse R =
rechter Kanal):
– Geräte mit Line-Pegel-Ausgang (z. B. MiniDisk-
Recorder, CD-Spieler, Kassettenrecorder) an
die Buchsen LINE (29);
– Plattenspieler mit Magnetsystem an die Buch-
sen PHONO (30). Die Klemmschraube GND
(31) kann als gemeinsamer Massepunkt ge-
nutzt werden: Den Masseanschluss der Plat-
tenspieler mit der Klemmschraube verbinden.
2) Ein DJ-Mikrofon mit 6,3-mm-Klinken- oder XLR-
Stecker lässt sich an die Buchse DJ MIC (4) an-
schließen.
3) Für den Anschluss weiterer Mikrofone können
die 6,3-mm-Klinkenbuchsen MIC 1 – 4 (28) auf
der Rückseite genutzt werden.

1. The wire which is coloured green and yellow
must be connected to the terminal in the plug
which is marked with the letter E or by the earth
symbol

2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

If the unit is to be put out of operation defin-
itively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the envi-
ronment.

Applications
The mixer MPX-808 with four stereo input channels,
four microphone channels, and a DJ microphone
channel is suitable for various private or profes-
sional DJ applications.
The mixer can either be placed as desired or be
installed into a console. It also allows installation into
a rack (482 mm/19"). For rack installation, a height
of 6 RS (rack spaces) = 267 mm is required.

Connecting the Mixer
Prior to connecting any units or to changing any ex-
isting connections, switch off the mixer and all other
audio units or set all output signals to zero.

1) Die Verstärker oder andere nachfolgende Geräte

an die entsprechenden Ausgangsbuchsen an-
schließen:
– Die Signalsumme des Masterkanals A steht an
den XLR-Ausgängen LEFT und RIGHT (24)
und an den Cinch-Ausgängen MASTER A (25)
zur Verfügung. Die XLR-Ausgänge sollten be-
vorzugt verwendet werden. Die symmetrische
Signalübertragung
bietet
Schutz gegen Störeinstrahlungen, die beson-
ders bei längeren Anschlusskabeln auftreten
können.
– Die Signalsumme des Masterkanals B steht am
Cinch-Ausgang MASTER B (26) zur Verfügung.
2) Für Tonaufnahmen ein Aufnahmegerät an den
Ausgang REC (27) anschließen. Der Aufnahme-
pegel ist unabhängig von der Stellung der beiden
Masterfader A und B (17).
3) Über einen Stereo-Kopfhörer kann jeweils das
Signal der Stereo-Eingangskanäle CH 1 – 4 vor
den Kanalfadern oder das laufende Musikpro-
gramm der Masterkanäle A oder B abgehört wer-
den (siehe Kap. 5.5). Den Kopfhörer (Impedanz
min. 8 Ω) an die Buchse (19) anschließen.
4.3 Pultbeleuchtung und Netzanschluss
Für eine optimale Pultbeleuchtung kann an die
BNC-Buchse LAMP (8) eine Schwanenhalsleuchte
(12 V/5 W max.) angeschlossen werden, z. B. die
Leuchte GNL-205 von „img Stage Line". Die Leuchte
wird mit dem Mischpult ein- und ausgeschaltet.
Zuletzt das beiliegende Netzkabel an die Netz-
buchse (22) anschließen und den Stecker in eine
Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz) stecken.
4.1 Inputs
1) Connect the stereo audio sources to the corre-
sponding phono input jacks of the channels
CH 1 – 4 (jack L = left channel; jack R = right
channel):
– units with line level output (e. g. minidisk re-
corder, CD player, cassette recorder) to the
jacks LINE (29);
– turntables with magnetic system to the jacks
PHONO (30). The clamping screw GND (31)
can be used as a common ground: Connect
the ground connection of the turntables to the
clamping screw.
2) The jack DJ MIC (4) allows connection of a DJ
microphone with 6.3 mm plug or XLR plug.
3) For connecting further microphones, use the
6.3 mm jacks MIC 1 – 4 (28) on the rear side.
4.2 Outputs
1) Connect the amplifiers or other subsequent units
with line input level (e. g. second mixer) to the
corresponding output jacks:
– The master signal of the master channel A is
available at the XLR outputs LEFT and RIGHT
(24) and at the phono outputs MASTER A (25).
The XLR outputs should be preferred. The
balanced signal transmission offers a higher
protection against interference which may par-
ticularly occur with long connection cables.
– The master signal of the master channel B is
available at the phono output MASTER B (26).
2) For audio recordings, connect a recorder to the
output REC (27). The recording level is inde-
pendent of the position of the two master faders
A and B (17).
3) Via stereo headphones, it is possible to monitor
the signal of the stereo input channels CH 1 – 4
respectively ahead of the channel faders or to
monitor the current music programme of the
