Using the fl ash

Select the desired fl ash mode.
In camera preview mode, repeatedly press (
) until the desired fl ash mode is appeared.
In this mode, the fl ash fi res automatically according to the
photography conditions.
Auto fl ash
The fl ash is forced to fi re regardless of the brightness of
subjects. Use the Forced fl ash mode when the subject is

backlit, or in artifi cial light, etc.
The camera fi res pre-fl ash lighting once before the main
Red-eye fl ash in order to reduce the red eye problem.

The fl ash never fi res regardless of the brightness of
subjects. Use the Flash off mode when you are taking
pictures in indoor lightning at distances too great for the
Flash off
fl ash to have any effect, such as theater performances or
indoor sporting events.

Compose your picture.
Use ( / ) to zoom in / out if necessary.

Focus and take a picture.
Press and hold (record / shutter button)
slightly, the auto focus frame on the LCD
monitor will turn red. The focus framel turns
green when the focus is locked. Press down
the (record / shutter button) to take a picture.
The effective fi ring distance of the fl ash is approximately 2.5m to 3m.
