by rotating the chuck by hand.
4. Align the key wedge (4) into the key holes ((2)
&(3)).
5. Tap the key wedge (4) lightly with a plastic tipped
hammer until the chuck and arbor fall out of the
spindle. Place one hand below the chuck to catch it
when it falls out.
MOVING THE DRILL PRESS (Fig. 32)
WARNING ! The drill press is very heavy and MUST
be transported with the help of 2 people or more, to
safely move it.
1. When transporting the drill press, the table (1) and
head (2) should always be locked in position. Refer
to the sections of "INSTALLING THE TABLE" and
"INSTALLING THE HEAD" for details.
2. Hold the table and motor with two people as shown
in Fig. 32 and then move the drill press.
Body and Hand Position (Fig. 33)
Never place hands near drilling area. Keep hands
outside the "No Hands Zone" which includes entire
table and is labeled by "No Hands" symbols.
WARNING! To avoid injury from materials being
thrown, unplug drill press to avoid accidental
starting, and then remove small materials.
Changing Speeds
Note: In this machine, there is a window provided for
users to view the situation and the speed of belt in the
cover easily.
1. Loosen the locking screw (15) on the pulley cover
(1), then open the cover (Fig. 1).
2. Loosen the belt tension lock knob (13) on right
and left side of drill press head. Pull the motor (14)
toward the front of the drill press to relieve the belt
tension. Tighten the belt tension knob (13).
3. Refer to the speed chart outside the pulley cover
and move the belts to correct position for the
desired speed.
Note: The recommended speeds (in min
materials are listed below for your reference.

4. Loosen the belt tension lock knob (13) and move
Note:
The belt should deflect approximately 13 mm at
mid-point of the belt between pulleys.
5. Close and lock the pulley cover.
WARNING: To avoid possible injury, always keep
the pulley cover closed and locked with the screw
provided.
