When not in use, the tool should be stored and transported in the metal case, to prevent
damage. Metal case: VAL B-TC095, size 565x410x132 mm (22.2x16.1x5.2 in.), weight
6,7 kg (14.7 lbs).
4.3) Head rotation
For ease of operation, the tool head can rotate through 335°, allowing the operator to work

in the most comfortable position.
Warning: Do not attempt to turn the head if the hydraulic circuit is pressurised.

5. BLADE REPLACEMENT

After extended use, the blades may lose their cutting edge.
Replace the blades as follows:
5.1) Lower blade

– Press latch (85) and open upper blade assembly.
– Operate the tool to make the lower blade (36) advance until grub screw (35) is visible
on ram (88).
– Remove grub screw (35) and remove the lower blade (36).
– Insert new blade and secure with grub screw (35).
Warning: before closing the upper blade assembly, release the oil pressure and
retract the lower blade (36), otherwise the blade may hit the lower blade edge and
damage it.
5.2) Upper blade
– Press latch (85) and open upper blade assembly.
– Remove circlip (38) and pin (37).
– With a 13 mm spanner, undo M8 nuts (98) and remove two studs (99), blade guide (100)
blade spacer (96) and upper blade (48), noting the order of assembly.
– With a punch, drive out the pin (102), collecting the spring (103) and the pin (97).
– Assemble the spring (103) and the pin (97) on the new blade, locking the whole by the
elastic pin (102).
– Fitting the new blade is a reversal of the above.
6. RETURN TO
In the case of a breakdown contact our Area Agent who will advise you on the problem
and give you the necessary instructions on how to dispatch the tool to our nearest service
Centre; if possible, attach a copy of the Test Certifi cate supplied by Cembre together
with the tool or, if no other references are available, indicate the approximate purchase
date and the tool serial number.
