7. The idle outlet is covered by a plastic cap. You can remove this cap by turning it
anticlockwise. Use the cap to cover the idle outlet.
8. If your appliance is equipped with a carbon filter, remove the carbon filter before you
run the appliance in the extraction mode. The carbon filter should be used in the
vapour mode only.
1. The air duct should be as short and even as possible.
2. Extractor mode: installation with ventilation stack or air duct outwards only, wall
penetration = 150 mm diameter, drilling about 160 mm diameter.
3. The diameter of the exhaust hose should add up to at least 150 mm. Otherwise you
have to expect increased noise and decreased capacity of your appliance.
4. Check to meet the diameter if you use or perform arcs. Otherwise the capacity of your
appliance is decreased.
5. Use smooth tubes or flexible, non-inflammable exhaust hoses only.
6. If the air duct is performed horizontally, a minimum falling gradient of 1 cm/m or an
inclination of 2
hood ( look at figure 1 ).
7. When an exhaust duct is used the ending of the exhaust hose must be adjusted
streamwise.
8. If the air duct passes cool areas ( e.g. an attic ), a temperature gradient of the
different parts of the air duct may exist so condensate will be generated. You need a
proper insulation of the corresponding parts of the air duct then.
9. Equip such an air duct with a condensate trap if need be.
