SERVICE RECORD VacuCobra
Periodical inspection:
Check that the VacuCobra achieves maximum lifting capacity. The designated
load should be easily held by and lifted with the VacuCobra. Lifting capacity is
reduced if a vacuum leak occurs. See trouble shooting for more info.
The top swivel joint includes a safety valve. The valve automatically closes if the
power fails and the load sinks to the floor under control. Check the operation of
the safety valve by lifting a load appr 1m. and then stopping the vacuum pump.
The load should be equivalent to the rated max lifting capacity. A controlled
sinking motion is correct – anything else: contact your VacuCobra dealer
immediately.
All connecting components must be checked weekly (clamps between lift tube
and suction head, clamps between lift tube and top swivel, clip and pin in crane
system trolley eyelet, air tube clamps, screws for suction foot).
The air filters must be cleaned on a weekly basis, more often if the working
environment demands it. Follow instructions.
The rubber gasket on the suction foot must be checked for signs of
damage or wear. A damaged gasket must be replaced immediately.
The lift tube must be checked for signs of damage or wear. A damaged lift tube
must be replaced immediately.
Check all electrical cables and connections for damages.
Check all structural parts for cracks, corrosion, deformations etc.
*These intervals should be considered as a binding recommendation and are applicable at normal operating
conditions, as specified by the warranty at 8 h operation/day. Special conditions may require other intervals.
For instance a dusty environment may require shorter intervals. Longer intervals invalidates the warranty.
