Putting the F.BM radio motion detector into service

1. Adjust the horizontal and vertical angles.
2. Set the Walk Test jumper at ON.

3. Insert the Norm/Test jumper at TEST.
4. Set the pulse counter at 1.
5. Press the battery connector onto the 9 V alkaline battery and allow the instrument to
stabilize for about 10 minutes before beginning the test (temperature compensation).
6. Replace the cover on the enclosure.
7. Carry out the walk test in the entire detection area, walking slowly through it and
observing the Walk Test LED. The LED comes on whenever a zone is entered. After
every test allow 5 seconds for the instrument to stabilize.
8. Open the enclosure and remove the battery.
9. Set the pulse counter as described in the section "Setting the pulse counter". The
standard setting is 3 pulses.
10. Insert the Norm/Test jumper at NORM and go away from the detection area.
11. Reinsert the battery.
