4. Carefully rotate the light unit (only after the aquarium mounting brackets are
securely fastened to the aquarium) upwards and towards yourself (approximate
120 degree rotation) until no further rotation is possible (Fig. 6).
This unit has been designed to allow bulb installation and replacement after it
has been mounted to your aquarium. To install fluorescent tube(s) after the light
unit has been mounted using the integrated aquarium mounting brackets, please
rotate the unit as described above and follow the "Fluorescent Tube Installation"
instructions.
5. To complete the installation, rotate the light unit so that the fluorescent bulb(s)
faces the water surface. Place the aquarium mounting bracket cover on the
mounting bracket and securely tighten it in position using a Phillips #3 screw
driver (Fig. 7). Replace screw cover.
6. Plug in the light unit.

Replacing the Fluorescent Tube(s)
1. Unplug the light unit from the power supply.
2. Rotate the light unit as described within the "Installation using the Aquarium
Mounting Brackets" Instruction.
3. Refer to the instructions entitled "Fluorescent Tube Installation" when replacing
fluorescent tubes.

Maintenance

WARNING: Always unplug all electrical aquarium accessories when placing hands,
etc., in water. The electrical supply cords of this lighting system cannot be replaced.
This fluorescent lighting system has no user serviceable parts.

Cleaning the unit

1. Do not place the Fluval T5 HO High Output Linear Fluorescent Lighting System
near aquarium filter outputs or expose it to water spray or humidity. Do not
submerge in water.
2. No special maintenance is required for the Fluval T5 HO High Output Linear
Fluorescent Lighting System, other than periodic cleaning with a cloth (never use
harsh chemical products or detergents). Fluval LED Lens Cleaning Non-Aerosol
Spray (A3969) is also excellent for cleaning both the fixture as well as the bulb
surfaces.
3. It is strongly recommended to always follow all the precautions and procedures
outlined in both the Important Safe Guards and Installation Instructions.
