SCOPE OF SUPPLY
Take the t ile cut t er TC 670 Expert out of t he cardboard box and check, w het her t he delivery is complet e, i.e. w het her all part s shown in t he
illust rat ion have been delivered (Fig. 1).

ASSEM BLY/ INSTALLATION

In order t o f ix t he cut t ing unit , put it f irst int o t he posit ion as illust rat ed and t urn t he handle in t he direct ion of t he arrow. Then remove
t he t wo support s f rom t he t ile cut t er (Fig. 2). Now inst all t he serial or angle guide (Fig. 3). Follow ing t hat , inst all t he diagonal guide loosely,
shif t it ont o t he guide and t ight en bot h t urning handles f irmly (Fig. 4). The t wo support s can now be hooked in, depending on t he act ual
applicat ion (Fig. 5).

WORKING INSTRUCTIONS

Parallel cut s (90°)
For loosening t he cutt ing unit t urn t he handle in t he direct ion of t he arrow and shif t t he cut t ing unit right up t o it s f rame (Fig. 6).
Now hook up t he support s.
Set t ing t he t hickness of the mat erial and t he cut t ing widt h: First measure t he t hickness of t he t ile and set t he adjusting lever (st eps bet w een
4 and 12 mm) at t he cut t ing unit as shown in t he t able. Now put t he t ile up t o t he edge guide int o t he appliance. You can eit her set t he cutt ing
width ranging bet ween 50 and 300 mm direct ly via t he angle guide (t he det ailed illust rat ion shows an example of 160 mm) or mark t he cut t ing
width wit h a suit able pencil on t he t ile (Fig. 7). M ake sure t hat all t hree handle bolt s at t he ruler are properly t ightened.
Scribing t he t ile surf ace: Put t he lever in t he " min" posit ion. Now put t he cut t ing w heel ont o t he t ile and shif t t he cut t ing unit by using
it s handle int o t he end posit ion / t o t he edge guide. PLEASE NOTE: Should the pressure prove t o be insuf f icient w hen scribing t he t ile w it h
t he cut t ing wheel, t he lever w ill have t o be changed int o it s " maximum" posit ion. The adjust ing lever may also be set int o t he next
low er st ep " 4 - 12 mm" , if necessary. Alw ays make a t rial cut f irst (Fig. 8).
Breaking t he t ile: Turn t he lever evenly in t he direct ion of t he arrow t owards t he rear and press it down. The breaking rod must be posit ioned
close t o t he f ront edge of t he t ile, where a breaking cone has been int egrat ed int o t he base plat e t o ease t he breaking process. The t ile will
break along t he scribed line (Fig. 9).
Diagonal cut s (45°), square t iles
Inst all the angle guide as show n in t he illustration. Align t he t ile w it h a corner in t he V-groove at t he appliance's guide block.
M ove t he diagonal guide closely t o t he t ile, unt il t he V-groove hit s t he corner of t he t ile. Now arrest bot h handle bolt s. Shif t t he angle guide
t ow ards t he t ile unt il it hit s it and t ight en t he handle bolt f irmly (Fig. 10). Now set t he t hickness of t he mat erial and t he scribing dept h
(Fig. 7 & 8). First scribe t he tile only. Bef ore breaking it subsequently shif t t he cut t ing unit slight ly backw ards, so t hat t he breaking rod comes
t o rest complet ely on t he t ile. The t ile will now break exact ly along t he scribed line (Fig. 11).
Transport
When taking t he appliance somewhere else, shif t t he cut t ing unit int o it s cent er posit ion and f ix it t here by t urning t he lever in t he direct ion
of t he arrow . Then arrest bot h support s, as-semble t he diagonal and angle guide as show n in t he illust rat ion and carry t he t ile cut t er
wit h bot h hands in its horizont al posit ion (Fig. 12).

M AINTENANCE/ SERVICE

• Inspect t he t ile cut ter each t ime bef ore using it .
• Remove dust and residues f rom t he guide rails each t ime af t er using t he tile cut t er.
• Wipe of f cont aminant s wit h a wet , sof t clot h. Do not use any cleaning agent s or solvent s.
• Lubricat e t he guide rails of t he TC 670 Expert regularly, basically each t ime bef ore using it .
• Keep the saf et y and all other inst ruct ions f or f ut ure ref erence in a saf e place.
