Classification

adhered to exactly. Please also observe the conformity declaration.
Intended use
Operational safety can only be ensured if the valve is used as intended.
Intended use is only respected if the valve is used for controlling compressed air in accordance with the
condensed technical data.
Mechanical, pneumatic or electrical remote activation is possible.
If the system is to be used as intended, all work on the valve must be carried out by one of the manufactur-
er's servicing personnel.
If the valve is used in a manner other than is stipulated, this classifies as "inappropriate valve use" and
could result in either injuries to persons or damage to property. The manufacturer is not liable for such inju-
ries or damages.
The following is considered willful misuse: Use of flammable gases, liquids or mixtures of gas and liquids or
solids such as dust. Oil-enriched compressed air for lubricating pneumatic devices is not permitted in areas
subject to explosion hazards. Failure to observe this instruction could result in serious damage to property
and risk of personal injury due to explosions.
The user alone assumes full risk.
Operating personnel
The system operator is obliged to ensure that the valve is installed by authorised and qualified technicians.
Authorised, qualified personnel are engineers who have been specially trained by the operator, the manufac-
turer and the service partner and who work in accordance with the explosion protection regulations.
Safety-conscious work environment
The following are not permitted:
• unauthorised modifications to the valve
• operations which interfere with valve safety
Please observe:
• all safety instructions and symbols on the valve referring to compressed air connections.
Please ensure that they are easy to see and read.
• manufacturer's instructions for lubricants, solvents and cleaning substances.
Dangers following valve or machine/system shutdown
Even after venting the machine/system, there could still be pressure in the valve.
This can cause the valve and the connected actuators to move unexpectedly.
Please observe the machine/system operating instructions.
Alterations and changes
Any structural or safety-relevant changes to the valve must first be approved in writing by
Parker Hannifin GmbH.
Parker Hannifin GmbH may thus exclude liability if any unauthorised modifications are made.
No safety or protective equipment may be removed or taken out of operation.
Please observe the manufacturer's assembly instructions when using any special attachment parts!

• national directives
Accessories
Accessories authorised by the manufacturer ensure your safety. The use of other parts could change the
valve's properties. We do not assume any responsibility for any damages caused by the use of unintended
parts.
